Since 1983 Sophus has specialized in the sales of second hand bulk carriers and oil tankers. He is widely recognized for his knowledge of these markets. Sophus' fluency in the Scandinavian languages has greatly strenghtened our ties to these markets.

Sophus graduated from Fana Gymnas in Bergen, Norway in 1979 with a Diploma in Economics. After this he served in the Royal Norwegian Navy. He then started his shipping career working a few years as a trainee/junior broker in Dry Cargo Chartering in Norway as well as in the United States, before joining A.L. Burbank in the Sale and Purchase field.
